• Transport any food items in a clear plastic bag and also place them in a screening bin. Keeping food separate from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA officer will need to open and touch your bag for inspection.

Consider jetting off early on in the week to bag the best airfare to Asia. Tuesday is generally the most cost-effective day to fly, with Monday right behind it. Saturday typically has the highest fares. This is because lots of travelers choose to start their getaway on a weekend.
